NEWs on the house!

Getting ready for laminate!

Laying down blue foam that goes under laminate!

My dad and my sister's boyfriend, Spencer helped us!

Zoee making sure things are going the way she wants!

Spencer was a big help! With out him we would still be working on that floor and it would look terrible!

Laminate goes pretty fast in the easy spots.

Not so fast in the hard spots. I think it took Spencer a good hour to get the pantry done.

And well worth it! It looks professionally done, don't you think?

It got dirty but cleans up easily!

Almost all done! All we have left is the strips you see. They make it look pretty.

The electrician has been sick so he hasn't made it to our house so we put down cardboard just in case a hard object gets dropped while he works.

The easy part.

We covered this so anyone taking a peek at the house didn't have to worry about muddy shoes.
A big THANKS to Spencer for giving up his saturday to help us with the laminate! With his help we finished all of it in one day except the molding!

We are so excited to get to this point. As A.J and I stood admiring it at the end of the day I mentioned to him it's starting to look more like a home. The electrician should be here this week and our supervisor Trent said he has carpet schedule for the week of the 8th of March! Our open house for the public has been set for March 25! It hasn't been a terribly long journey but it's been tough. We miss our Zoee (not being able to spend as much time with her as we'd like) and we hope to make it up to her! We have enjoyed being able to work together on such a big project. At the end not only will we have a home but we will have knowledge on how to fix it up our selves. A plus for AJ is that he can pretty much talk me into any power tool now! It's so gratifying to know how to do something you thought would be tough and to see the work of your own hands!

Looks great! Our laminate was done in one day too - except we had Michael H, Kerry, Craig, and my Dad helping us! So does that mean your front door is unlocked and we can sneek a peek? Counting down 3 more weeks!
